The waiter filled my water like four times. Service was really good. Nice waitress. My crazy for you roll was delicious and fresh. Solid place. Def come back.

Super good and modestly priced sushi. Really soft, high quality fish with good flavor combinations. Free miso soup which is a plus. An interesting sweet sauce they put on a lot of rolls, and good heaping portions of fish.

I went here solo earlier this week for the first time (April). I needed to go to a place where the fish was fresh! A little on the out skirts of SJ, I found Sushi Koya. A nice cute intimate space. There were about 4 other families dining by the time I arrived. Just looking for a good dine in place before my movie date started. short story- the food and service was better than the movie I watched later that evening. This young man was completely solo serving me and the rest of the restaurant because he assured me that some of the servers had unfortunately called out. So this poor sweet man was accommodating and waiting on everyone that came in through the door with respect and graceful candor. You're simply born with that if not perfectly trained like it. Food- I ordered edamame, a spicy tuna roll and nigiri plate. I would not hesitate ever to come back to this place. I took so long to review because I don't want the riff raff to find this gem and disrespect it. Whenever I'm in SJ i will always return to this intimate place. the fish could've been slightly fresher, but I would still come back. Ambiance- Greeted like a human with a big "hello" from the chefs up front. One tv in the corner that is positioned for all to see with no constrictions- and not too big where the guests are overwhelmed and distracted. Muah

My new favorite local sushi place. Beautiful presentation and delicious taste. Hot the sushi platter, sushi and sashimi, and flaming dragon roll for two people. Just enough. By the way, their miso soup is also really good it's a standalone building and the area is a little divey but inside is nice, clean. Service is fast and friendly.
